Love is…

Love is

Young love should be
uplifting
joyous
exhilerating
eventful
and illogical

Mature love will be
compromise
surrender
agreement
sacrifice
and psychological

Love as it withers is
boring
dull
average
everyday
and methodical

But real love, true love is
fulfilling
caring
forever
sharing
and magical

A modern miracle

A modern miracle

Love is blind
Affects the brain
Though marriage
Restores sight again.

The generous bigamist

I plighted my troth
This was bigamy
Bought presents for both
That was big o' me.

The big question

I can not claim the credit for this short story. It was the title of a song written by Cole Porter way back in 1929. It was recorded by many people including Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. It is a great story, because again it shows how punctuation can change entirely the meaning of the words.

Hobbo

The big question

What! Is this thing called love?
or
What is this thing called? Love?
or
What is this thing called love?

Regret

Regret

regret, a luxury
both can't afford if
we want to move forward.

Infidelity

Infedelity

She dissatisfies
He diversifies
She tries
He falsifies
She identifies
He denies
She spies
He solidifies
She pries
He lies
She clarifies
He justifies
She decries
He mortifies
She vilifies
He pacifies
She amplifies
He sighs
She goodbyes
He cries
Love dies.

Love
Love is a treat
Best served in several courses
And washed down with fine wine.

Fragile

Fragile
Trust is
a fragile flower
which once
broken
must be
carefully repaired
and can never
be fully restored.

Trust

Trust
Day that we met
Best day of my life.

Day you broke my trust
Cried myself to sleep.

Day you came back
I couldn't be arsed.

Curry

Curry
The bottom fell out of my world
When you left me gutted and rotten
So, I went on my own for a curry
Then the world fell out of my bottom.
